A New Beginning Animal Rescue is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
A New Beginning Animal Rescue's Team would like to thank you for adopting a homeless animal! We hope the materials and information you received at the time of adoption have been helpful while your new companion pet settles into your home.
We ask all ANBAR adopters to complete the Post-Adoption Follow-up Survey within 1-2 weeks of adopting one of our pets, in an effort to improve services, to make sure the pets are successfully adjusting to their new homes, and to confirm that pet adopted without being spayed/neutered is surgically sterilized in a timely manner, within 30 days after the agreement is signed.
The Post-Adoption Follow-Up Survey is designed to discover how you felt about our adoption process so we can provide the best service to future adopters and to make sure the animals are successfully adjusting to their new homes.
We will contact you approximately 1-2 weeks post-adoption to follow-up, and then again 2 months post-adoption. We are available to help address any issues that may arise once the animal is in your home. We can answer many questions in a phone call, and can address an issue that requires more direct attention. Many problems that arise within the first few days or weeks can be worked through if addressed promptly and appropriately.
We strongly encourage continued socialization and formal obedience training for all dogs under the age of eight.
If you have children younger than 5 years, and do not already have a canine in your home, understand that adding a dog or cat will be like adding a permanent 2 year old to your responsibilities. For this reason, we will only place our pets in homes with children younger than 5 on a case-by-case basis. Keep in mind that completing an adoption contract means you understand that all adoption fees are non-refundable.
